What is now Fairview Mountain Ministries was donated to Fairview Baptist Church in Golden Valley, N.C. by David and Leslie McDaniel, in July of 1999. The church received a house, pool, barn and 110 acres.
In 2005 Fairview Mountain Ministries incorporated becoming a separate entity from Fairview Baptist Church.
In 2006 the Mountain Ministries Inc. received it's tax exempt status and is recognized by the Southern Baptist State Convention.

Fairview Mountain Ministries Inc. is a wonderful place for weddings, family gatherings, retreats, Sunday School Class get-together, men's or ladies groups, choir retreats, camping, marriage retreats, youth outings, workshops. The list of possibilities is endless. You don't have to come as a group, send that Pastor for a much needed rest.

McDaniel House will accommodate 26 overnight guests. We have 4 bedrooms upstairs with 3 sets of bunks beds in each room and one bath on this level. There is also a hugh Master Bedroom with sitting area, king size bed, private bath, large Jacuzzi and shower, and access to the pool and deck . House includes a large kitchen, dining area, Living room and full size conference center in basement. Both locations have restrooms.

We also have a cabin that will accommodate 14 overnight guest and has a separate counselor quarters. Cabin is fully handicap accessible, with a large porch and ramps.
Other amenities include a pool and pond for water activities, walking trails, and camp fire rings.
